In Autumn 1981 Dr Zeltser and his wife celebrated their wedding anniversary in the city of LOVE – Paris.
Overwhelmed by the famous views of Paris and the exiting sensation of freedom, love for each other, and the tantalising aromas of French patisseries, they heard shop shutters opening for the day, which pulled them out of Eden and subsequently changed their lives.
That’s when Dr Zeltser – a notorious bookworm, became agitated as he could not wait to visit the many old Parisian book stores snuggled on the Left Bank of the Siene. While Victor was conducting his dusty hunt for old treasures, his wife, who did not share his passion, indulged in walking the labyrinth of Left Bank’s historical streets.
Two hours later, Dr Zeltser was showing off his trophies to his wife – an amazing, rare edition of Guide Culinary by Auguste Escoffier and an age-damaged Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio written in 1353. Later at the hotel when Dr Zeltser tried to mend the book with sticky tape borrowed from the reception desk, a page, folded-in-half, fell out of the book … “APHRODOPE” was the title of this neatly hand-written recipe. To his wife’s surprise Dr Zeltser easily read the text and explained that it was written in Latin, which he was familiar with, having a medical background. He also clarified that judging by the botanicals listed there as ingredients, it was some-sort of libido stimulating recipe – an Aphrodisiac! He assumed that whoever left that recipe in the book had experienced it and left it there to be found by the next admirer of Decameron!
Lillian was very sceptical about the “hocus-pocus libido enhancers” and laughed, while Dr Zeltser became very intrigued.
But Dr Zeltser managed to plant a seed of interest in Lillian’s mind:
…Why is it that for thousands of years people searched, paid premium prices, and swallowed bizarre items such as poisons, strange animals and plants, if they were called aphrodisiacs? What forced them to seek remedies that once again could flame up their sexual desire and passion?
The answer lies in the Human memory, which retains vivid information and its functionality for far longer than the physical abilities of our body. With our sexual maturity awakening at 12-14 years of age, peaking at 25, and decreasing thereafter, our early experiences, which create unforgettable, strong, pleasant sexual feelings that surpass all other pleasures of later life, get engraved in our memories as the best days of our lives. Thus, it is natural that we wish to have them back forever!
…Remember? …Those butterflies in your stomach which could’ve been triggered by just a thought of him/ her … times when just a scent could trigger pleasurable longing and hot erotic dreams. How good it felt to be sexually attracted, desired and loved … no wonder our ancestors all over the globe have searched for the fountain of youth – aphrodisiacs, which could reverse time and let them experience those feelings again!
They tried everything and anything from pleasantly perfumed herbs and hard-to-chew minerals, through to poisons, blood, bizarre things like human excrement and decaying bugs, to body parts and reproductive organs – All in the name of re-claiming their sexual desire and ability to experience the pleasure of sexual desire again!
On their return to Australia, Dr Zeltser decided to make ‘APHRODOPE’ recipe to see if it works. Of course, Lillian was categorically against it as she was scared that he might poison himself or others. So, to secure her husband’s safety and keep an eye on him Lillian volunteered to help, not suspecting that this decision would totally change their lives.
The recipe consisted of 18 rare botanicals, which could not be found in Australia. Thus, after many months searching for information, talking to herbalists, naturopaths, professional botanists, and pharmaceutical companies they decided to collect them at their terra originale (place of origin) where they grow in the wild at their maximum strength, instead of sourcing them from the warehouses where they could have been sitting for years while losing valuable active powers.
While on the very first trip in search of aphrodisiacs, the couple discovered that they are not gimmicks as many might think! They really do exist and have been successfully used since antiquity. More so, Aphrodisiacs were highly prized on all continents of the Earth. However only the most effective aphrodisiacs survived thousands of years of trial and lived to see our days, when their “magic “could finally be decrypted and supported by science.
Like in a fairy tale, the more time they spent on research and travel, the more they were sucked into the aphrodisiac hunt. Eventually it grew into their life’s obsession and consumed most of their time outside of work and raising children.
As a joke Lillian called her husband Dr Aphro Di Ziac – Aphro for short, and in return he called her – Karla, in honour of a gorgeous, but noisy opinionated Brazilian Arara Velmerha parrot which they were impressed with in Brazil.
After almost 10 years of collecting information and historical facts, legends and humorous stories, tests and experiments the original recipe found in Paris was made! But since the original recipe contained only ingredients, but no directions on preparations, Dr Zeltser had to devise a unique process of preserving valuable and often fragile active libido enhancing elements of botanicals.
Finally, in October 2007 the hard work was crowned by a small test-batch of perfect aphrodisiac liqueur – tasty and aromatic, and very potent, which they called ‘Aphrodope’.
Most of that batch was used in tests and at an Aphrodisiac Dinner party which the couple threw for their friends to celebrate their success.
To their surprise the friends were calling them after the party, asking for more Aphrodope, as they enjoyed the rejuvenating experience it produced. IT WORKED!
Realising the significance of this, the couple decided to produce Aphrodope commercially and market it as a liqueur. All the rest is history.
Within first few years Aphrodope was presented numerous international awards and through the word-of-mouth became known throughout the world. The bio-active ingredients of Aphrodope and the processes of manufacturing make it expensive for average consumer. Addition of the costs of distribution and logistics would’ve price it beyond the reach of many, thus it was decided Aphrodope is available exclusively online.
While searching through thousands of natural stimulants, ancient recipes, and medical books, Dr Zeltser also discovered that a particular combination of natural stimulants might influence or “awaken” the function of the endocrine system responsible for regulating a range of bodily functions through the release of hormones. Certain aphrodisiacs can help boost, maintain, or level hormonal balance.
Thus, after a long trail of tests, extraction methods, and unique equipment inventions, Dr Zeltser managed to devise a recreational beverage for women, that is not only tasty but might also provide a surprisingly pleasant deeper effect.
He named this herbal beverage “Elation”, which and I hope would delight many people around the world.
Dr Zeltser’s wife, his “wonderful guinea-pig” enjoyed this beverage for over a decade. She noticed that she get much more attention from men after drinking it, and supposes that somehow “Elation” also boosts the strength of pheromones our body involuntarily gives off to attract a suitable partner.
So, don’t be surprised if after a shot of “Elation” the person standing next to you might feel intoxicated by your pheromones.
Please note, that “Elation” is recreational alcoholic beverage and not a medicine or a supplement.
